After enjoying your morning meal, meet with your guide in the hotel’s lobby. Our journey then unfolds towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco, accessible via a smooth motorway ride lasting about one hour and 30 minutes. Commencing our exploration, we’ll pass through the historic Chellah gates, erected in 1864, followed by a delightful encounter with the fortified beauty of Chellah, enclosed by imposing walls and ornate defensive gates. A pause is planned at the Mohamed 5 Museum, a structure from 1972, providing an opportunity to explore the nearby tombs. From there, our voyage continues to Fez, where we’ll settle in for the night at a hotel or riad.
Today on our private trip from Casablanca to Fez, a local guide will meet you at the hotel. We’ll start by visiting the seven royal gates, offering a fantastic view of the Medina and the craftsmanship of pottery and Fez handicrafts. Next, we’ll explore the ancient Medina, known for its winding alleys (more than nine thousand narrow streets). This area, called Fez El Bali, will be our starting point. We’ll visit the Andalous Quarter to see the Andalous mosque (9th century) and the Kairaouan mosque (857). Additionally, we’ll check out the Koranic schools, Madrasat Echatarine and El madras El bouananiya, which contribute to Fez’s role as the intellectual, cultural, and political center of Morocco. Lunch will be at a local spot.
After lunch, we’ll head to the tanneries to see how leather products like bags and jackets are made. Then, we’ll begin our journey back to Casablanca.
